An agreement between the Town of Greenwood and the Chamber of Commerce has been signed. The Dunn house, located next to Town Hall, is the official new residence of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, Inc. This new step in the life of our Chamber is very exciting. First it gives the Chamber more creditable and a place for our visitors to come and meet with Chamber officials. We will be open three days a week at first on a trial basis and then change them as needed. We will post our hours soon. We are very excited about this project and seek your input to make it a very successful endeavor. This is a very big commitment for the Town of Greenwood and the Chamber of Commerce. Come by and visit. I have found that some members have never been in the Dunn House. Ellise Wissing, Board Member, and Pat Owens, Treasurer, will be on duty to serve your needs. |

Please do not forget our first meeting of the New Year. Make this your New Year’s resolution to come to all of the Chamber meetings. DATE: TUESDAY– JANUARY 6TH, 6:00 P.M. AT THE Greenwood Community Center GUEST SPEAKER– La. House of Representative from District 1, James “Jim” Morris. The state is facing a big deficit this year and I’m sure he will have a few ideas on what cut backs will be needed . . COME AND BE A PART OF YOUR CHAMBER AT WORK….. IF YOU’RE NOT THERE, YOU HAVE NO VOICE IN YOUR COMMUNITY OR GOVERNMENT. As business leaders you need both. |
