CHESAPEAKE ENERGY ADDRESSES THE CHAMBER The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce held an open informational meeting Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Greenwood Community Center. The once old firehouse, converted to Greenwood’s Community Center, was full as Sarie N. Joubert, Manager of Public Affairs for Chesapeake Energy, told the crowd about the drilling selection process and the cubic feet gas production going on in Texas, Louisiana and surrounding areas. She explained that Chesapeake had not yet drilled in Greenwood but that we would be on the calendar soon. Ms. Joubert reported that the new wave of the future is Compressed Natural Gas automobile fuel.
